Thanks to a few blogger friends, I finally gave in to the call of the cake pop and bought a Babycakes Cake Pop Maker. I purchased it online from Kohl’s for $26.99. I thought of getting one around Christmas and I should have. Kohl’s had them then for only $19.99 - live and learn . . .
I couldn’t wait to try something in it. I didn’t have any chocolates to melt or anything to decorate with, so I decided to try using muffin mix.
The muffin mix had a granola topping. I put the topping in first and then baked them about 3 1/2 minutes.
And, there they are! 36 healthy apple cinnamon muffin “pops” in about 20 minutes – start to finish! Yummy and moist – mmmm!
I think I will be using my cake pop maker quite often! It heats up quickly, cleans up easily and is fun! Not like using the oven which takes much longer to preheat and uses way more electric. No cake or muffin pans to wash either. The cake pop maker wipes cleans with a damp dish cloth. All I had to wash was the bowl, the spoon and a measuring cup. I like no fuss baking.

Stay tuned for there will be more adventures in cake popping to come!

They look very yummy Kim! My daughters saw some cake pops on Pinterest the other day and were like…”why don’t we make those?” May have to “cave” too someday!
It is about time for me to make another batch! I still have to try the actual cake pop on a stick. I am afraid I will mess them up, lol!
Sounds easy enough… I have to ask… what are Cake Pops … are they smaller than a cupcake or muffin?
I have heard several people talking about them… so… I guess my next small appliance will be a cake pop maker… Here I come WalMart!

Hi Carla, Cake pops are smaller than a muffin. They are bite-sized or maybe 2 bites. They are supposed to go on a stick, but I am not brave enough to try that yet! I am thinking of trying them for Easter. I think they would look so cute in pastel colors.
Those look yummy. I’ve wondered, since I first saw that machine, how well it worked. obviously, it works well! Enjoy! (And it looks a TON easier than making them by hand)
Wow, they look yummy! Ya’ll are tempting me more & more.
That really looks neat, Kimmie! I wonder if you could make hushpuppies in that?
That is funny! I was thinking that too! Would be much better for you than the deep fried ones.
I will not get a cake pop maker, I will not get a cake pop maker, I will not……ok maybe……
Come on . . . give in! I am sure you would love to sit down something sweet from the cake pop maker and nice glass of wine . . . sound good??
So another online friend has succumbed to the allure of the cake pop! LOL! Looks like I need to try those…
Yes, I have. I caved to peer pressure, lol! I am so weak . . .
So, when are you going to cave – hmmm???
Ooh, they look AMAZING!
I’m thinking warm apple cinnamon cakepops with vanilla icecream. Mmmm.
Ha ha, welcome to the dark side
How about some vanilla frozen yogurt instead? And, they were amazing! My husband has quickly crossed over to the dark side also, lol! Actually, I think cake pops are located on the sunny side of life!
My sister got one of these for Christmas and loves it
She had so much fun making a few batches of cake pops. I have yet to try one though
