Ever since I sold my first box of Girl Scout Cookies, I was hooked on direct sales. I will never forget how excited I was to go with my friends door-to-door and sell those cookies. I was bold then and nothing was going to stop me from selling those cookies to everyone I could! I loved collecting that money and organizing my orders. I was so excited for the reward, too! A little badge to put on my sash. I couldn’t wait for the next year to roll around so that I could do it all over again. Ahh, those were the days . . .
Not much has changed for me . . . I am still excited about getting orders, organizing them, delivering them and collecting that money . . . but, the rewards are much bigger than a little badge to sew on a sash. I get to earn real money – from my personal sales and as commission on my team sales. I love it! Where else can you get paid to party and get paid for showing other’s how to party? If Wal-Mart paid you a commission based upon how many customers came through your line and on how went through the line of the cashier next to you and on down the line, everyone would want to work there. But, direct sales is the only place I found that allows you to get paid as much as you want and for showing others how to do what you do and on what they do.
I only represent companies that I am proud to represent. I must like the products and I must like how the company operates. Of course, the compensation plan is a reason also, but if I don’t like the products, then I will not be successful no matter how great the compensation plan is.
